Who better to generate support for America’s kids than America’s ToothFairy?

School-based sealant programs, oral care product distributions, dental services for homeless children, these and other projects will receive a needed boost.

Grants totalling $100,000 will support children across the U.S., courtesy of America’s ToothFairy fundraising efforts, according to DentistryToday.com

“Funding for the grants was donated by sponsors of the Virtual ToothFairy Ball and Online Auction, an annual fundraiser, and was awarded in the names of the donating individuals or companies. The recipients will use the funds to improve oral health outcomes for children through school-based sealant programs, oral care product distributions, dental services for homeless children, and other projects.”

Among them, a Benco Family Foundation ToothFairy Grant of $5,000 will support the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry, Birmingham, Alabama

¿Cómo se dice “healthy teeth”? Ask America’s ToothFairy.

As if the winged wonder of the dental world wasn’t already impressing us with her mad scheduling skills, America’s ToothFairy now prepares to enchant children with her bilingual abilities.
According to a recent article by DrBicuspid Staff:

America’s ToothFairy: National Children’s Oral Health (NCOHF) has launched its El Club de los Niños, the Spanish-language version of its America’s ToothFairy Kids Club.

The NCOHF is partnering with the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Foundation and other national and regional partners to expand access to care and education among at-risk, Spanish-speaking children and families.

The club welcomes individual children and groups of children through participating schools, community health clinics, after-school programs, and childcare centers to register for the club at www.ATNinos.org.

What can club members (children ages 3 to 12) anticipate? Monthly personalized letters from said tooth fairy, along with tips, activities, recipes, songs, and more to teach and reinforce positive oral health behaviors.

A monthly Parents Corner offers practical tips and strategies for caregivers to encourage healthy habits at home.
