In 2015,  Larry Lee merited a national award for envisioning a dental practice of tomorrow. A recent project delivered him back into the realm of smiles.

The Cloud 9 Sky Egg, a spherical office suspended between two towers, dozens of stories in the air, earned Lee grand prize in the Design of the Future category of the annual Design Awards presented by dental lifestyle magazine Incisal Edge and sponsored by Clarion Financial.

“The clean. white egg shape and bright, pristine design throughout echo the optimal conditions of a successful dental appointment,” Lee told Incisal Edge in 2015. “It relays purity and serenity. It’s a complete sensory experience that relaxes patients and enhances

their visit.”

Earlier this year, his expertise were called in for another project involving smiles, only this time on a product created to beautify and protect them. Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Verlaine Lips released its “Delicious Lychee” with packaging designed by none other than Lee.

Sold at select beauty boutiques and on verlainenyc.com, the natural organic lip-balm touts an alcohol-free formula and is packaged in a 1/2 ounce reusable/recyclable tin priced at $9 + tax.

When not designing award-winning dental practices and creative packaging, the New York native serves as Art Director of Beverage Media—where he  oversees the company’s creative direction and editorial layout of the beverage alcohol industry’s pre-eminent nation-wide publications.

A graduate of New York University’s Stern School of Business, Larry has since worked at Marvel Comics, contributed illustrations to a number of magazines, and lent his savvy to an array of corporate branding and logo projects.

When he’s away from his computer, Larry can be found in some kind of gym training Crossfit, practicing mixed martial arts, tapping into his inner outdoorsman up in the Hudson Valley, or crafting cocktails at his home bar.
